i love rings

Amo los anillos! usarlos, comprarlos, diseñarlos, pensarlos. Es un tipo de pieza que puedes ver (los aretes tú no los ves al usarlos, ni los collares), los brazaletes y pulseras son a veces incómodas (suenan cuando golpean en una mesa y si son grandes se complica al apoyar la mano/brazo en una superficie)... en cambio, los anillos, son geniales! Los colocas en una parte del cuerpo que tiene acción visible el 100% del día! con las manos creas, tocas, sientes, saludas, tomas.... etc. Y desde tiempos muy antiguos han sido símbolo de poder para reyes y personajes importantes.

Hay quienes dicen que depende el dedo en el que utilices el anillo, es lo que eres, lo que sientes (mm.. puede ser, al menos a mi me pasa, no siempre me siento agusto con el mismo anillo en el mismo dedo) -click aqui para ver mas info-

Y hoy encontré 3 diseñadores INCREIBLES! y por supuesto, tienen anillos grandiosos! 

Christine J. Brandt - trabaja con maderas y con minerales y piedras semipreciosas en estado natural (sin pulir, ni cortar, ni facetar).

Maud Traon - son tan rugosos! parecen minerales recién extraídos de la tierra y por supuesto el tamaño oversize me encanta.

Tzur Gueta - diseñadora textil francesa que trabaja la silicona haciendo piezas con mucho detalle y textura.

I love rings! use them, buy them, design them. It's a type of piece that you can see (you cannot see the earings you wear, or necklaces), and bracelets they are sometimes uncomfortable (the sound when they hit a table, and if they're big, is complicated to rest your arm/hand in a surface)... however, rings, are great!  You put them on a body part that is visible 100% time a day!  With your hands create, touch, feel, shake other hands... And since ancient times been symbol of power for kings and important people.

Some people say, depeding in which finger you wear the ring, means what you are or what you feel (mm.. maybe, it happens to me, I am not always comfortable wearing the same ring in the same finger) -read more here-

And today I found 3 GREAT designers! and of course, they have amazing rings!

Christine J. Brandt - she works with wood and minerals and semiprecious stones in natural formations (no cut, polished or dyed) 

Maud Traon - they are so rough! they look like recently extracted minerals, and of course, i love the oversize!

Tzur Gueta - french textile designer. she works silicone pieces with a lot of detail and texture.

Ayer salí al parque a dibujar un poco y a experimentar con algo de materiales y, en el suelo, descubrí estas ramitas secas! A poco no son lindas? tan frágiles... y el color hueso que adquieren al secarse. Hoy, ya están en mi "repisa" de inspiración. =P

Yesterday i went to the park to draw a little and experiment with some materials, and, on the ground, i found these tiny branches! Aren't they so cute?  so fragile... and the ivory tone they get when dries. Today, they're in the "shelf" of inspiration. =P

Me siento muy feliz de compartirles un pedacito del taller de ikcha! Mi mesa suele estar llena de pequeños objetos y siempre le voy agregando y cambiando. También es una pequeña vitrina de los objetos que me inspiran y que son especiales para mi.

I'm so happy to share with you a sneakpeek of ikcha's workroom! My bench usually is full of tiny objects, and I'm always like to change them and add more. Also, I see them as a little window with the objects that inspires and those who are special for me.

Tengo manía por recolectar hojas, semillas y flores que encuentro en la calle. Las formas que adquieren las hojas secas son muy interesantes y los colores también!  Hay una hoja muy grande que traje de Rosario, Argentina! (casi entrando la primavera los parques se cubren de ellas), una semilla (dentro del vaso) que recogí en Buenos Aires, Argentina! es tan linda, que hice un collar inspirado en su forma y dureza, hay flores y cordones de varios lados, un llavero de la Torre Eiffel (regalo de un amigo muy querido), un Ganesh (dios de la buena fortuna en la India), obsequio de año nuevo de Calvirugs (donde fuí diseñadora de tapetes hechos a mano por casi 3 años).

I have a mania for collecting leaves, seeds and flower that I find on the street. The shapes of the leaves are so interesting and also the colors! There is a laaarge leaf from Rosario, Argentina! (in the first days of sping the parks are covered with them), a seed (inside of the vase) wich I picked up in Buenos Aires, Argentina! is so cute, I made a necklace inspired in their shape and hardness; there are flowers and strands from many places, an Eiffel Tower keychain (gift from a loved friend), a Ganesh (god of good luck in India) - New Year's gift from Calvirugs (where I was designer of handmade rugs for almost 3 years).

Estas tipo vainas, las encontré hace unos días caminando por el parque, me resulto tan impresionante las cavidades y la resistencia del material. Cuando están colgando en el árbol son verdes y suaves... ya en el piso, tienen la dureza de la madera!

These kind of pods, I found them a few days ago walking on the park, the cavities are so impressive, also the strenght of the material. They are green hanging from the tree... in the ground, have the hardness of wood!

Besame Mucho - en esta versión por Cesaria Evora. 

Bésame Mucho es una canción compuesta por Consuelito Velázquez en 1940. Es la canción más cantada y más grabada del idioma español! y fué escrita por una mexicana!! que orgullo. Ha sido tema de múltiples películas y es curioso pero cuando ella escribió la canción tenía 14 años y nunca había sido besada (... como es que somos capaces de producir sentimientos y hacerlos físicos a través de una canción, objeto, arte, etc.. sólo a través de nuestra imaginación!)

Es una canción tan linda, tan nostalgica, sientes que te llenas el corazón de sentimientos profundos. Y está versión de Cesaria Evora es una de mis favoritas!

Besame Mucho is a song composed by Consuelito Velazquez in 1940. Is the most singed and most recorded song of the Spanish lenguage! and was written by a Mexican!! that pride. The song has been part of multiples soundtracks of movies and a curious fact: she was only 14 when she writes the song, and never been kissed before (... i admire our ability to produce feelings and make them through a song, object, art, etc.. just through our imagination!). It's a beautiful song, so nostalgic, you can feel your heart so filled of deep feelings. And this version of Cesaria Evora is one of my favs!
